Antalya Cirali (Chimaera – Pia)

This year, Antalya Cirali was the first stop of # Bizyineyollarda’da summer vacation. We reached Cirali Holiday Center in Kemer, Antalya, 780 km away from Istanbul, in approximately 11 hours. Due to the safer and less traffic density, we traveled late at night and arrived at Antalya Center in the early hours of the morning.

We stopped by a Shopping Center in the center of Antalya and made a replenishment update here. Since we had a summer holiday in Olympos in the previous year, we could hardly predict what we would encounter when we got there and so we headed here.

We set off in the direction of Kemer from Antalya center to the west. Just like the Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio, we had exits in Antalya accompanied by a magnificent mountain view and we set off towards Çıralı.

Cirali Road

Before reaching Kemer, we saw the Yanartaş (Chimaera Hill) sign and followed the road going south from here for about 7 km. Although the road is quite curvy and narrow, we arrived at the beach accompanied by landscapes adorned with greenery, trees and huge cacti, and as we proceeded in the west-east direction with our vehicle, we came to the hotel where we will stay with our bungalow-type hotel and pensions on our right and on our right.

We impatiently made the necessary registration and immediately set off on foot towards the beach. Also known as Pia, it was waiting for us with its 3.5 km long beach extending to Olympos.

The road from the hotel to the beach accompanied us, decorated with flowering trees. When you cross the road between the beach and the hotels, your foot starts to touch the sand. When you walk about 100-150 meters on the beach, sun loungers and the magnificent Cirali Beach and Beach meet you. The sea is so clear that it is discolored and leaves you undecided between green and blue.

Smurf Guests on the Beach: Caretta Caretta Turtles

Another feature of the beach is that Caretta-Caretta turtles lay their eggs here every season, and when the time comes, the moment of breaking their shells and reaching the sea quickly attracts thousands of nature friends here every year. Metal cages are placed under protection to prevent beach visitors from accidentally damaging them. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the turtles of the turtles when we were there.

Although we couldn’t see the turtles, we enjoyed the sea too much. The best part of the beach was that it was both stone and sandy, as clearly seen in the photo. You have the opportunity to go to the sea from any point on the beach stretching up to the mountain of Olympos.

Although there are umbrellas & sunbeds owned or rented by the hotels in the part of the beach, unfortunately there is no such opportunity in the part of the borders of Olympos.

If you have a pet, it is available in facilities suitable for your pets. It deserves a nice holiday in our little friends, after all. Enjoy the sea and the sun on the beach, where you can see every shade of green and blue as much as possible. It is as rich as the top of the sea. The evenings and the nights that follow are always different here. You can relieve the sweet tiredness caused by activities at sea all day long, in the restaurants located on the seashore accompanied by the cool and cool wind.

I recommend you to hang out in restaurants that will surprise you with their romantic style. You can have an unforgettable dinner accompanied by the sound of soft waves of the Mediterranean when caressing the Çıralı beaches in restaurants serving meat menu and seafood.

Everlasting Flame Cirali Chimera (Kimera)

When you come to Cirali, do not think that you will only come and go between the sea, beach and hotel trio. Do not leave without seeing the Yanartaş (Yanarkaya Kimera-Chimaera) rocks, which gave its name here. Enjoy this fascinating atmosphere created by methane rock gas burning for centuries.

When you go to the east direction along the coast by road, you can find this natural wonder place by using the signs. The facility operated by the Ministry of Forestry is located approximately 1-1.5 km above the location of the kiosks and gift shops. However, this point can only be reached on foot.

After paying the entrance fee of 6 -10 TL per person, a difficult climb up the historical stone stairs is waiting for you. You reach your destination in 30 minutes to 1 hour, including rests at a normal climbing speed.

People with heart disease or a similar disease are not allowed to visit. When you go up and arrive at the destination, a warm atmosphere welcomes you. You can even see local and foreign tourists who take photos, children trying to blow out the burning fires and people who cook sausage and skewers on skewers of interesting methane gas.

Our Cirali holiday, which lasted 2 nights and 3 days, ended and we set off towards Adrasan, our next stop. In the next article we will write about “Antalya-Adrasan“.
